
'82 Flicks A2 Art Print
This year, 20th Century Flicks celebrates its 40th birthday. Since 1982, this unassuming little video rental shop has been serving up home cinema to the people of Bristol, amassing a library of over 20,000 films and becoming a central part of the city's film scene as a result.
To mark the occassion they're hosting Forbidden Worlds Film Festival: taking over the mothballed Bristol IMAX to screen a plethora of cult '82 classics from Blade Runner to Basket Case. I was hugely honoured to be asked to create a piece of art celebrating both the shop's origins and one of the greatest years in cinema history.

Yes, Mad Max 2 is technically a 1981 film but it had an '82 UK release and that's close enough for it to be included it as part of the festival and this piece
