I felt quite nostalgic painting this. And not for Buffy but rather the hours spent playing cricket very badly as a kid. My Dad loves cricket and did everything in his power to imprint that love onto me. He bought me the best cricket bat and gear that he could afford and sent me off to play with all the kids who were actually good and who resented my beautiful linseed-oiled Gunn & Moore bat with which I failed to get any runs. I even had to go to A&E from catching the ball a bit wrong.

If only Buffy the Umpire Slayer had been around to spare me.
