"Dear Jim, please paint an intergalactic chip shop. A high street outlet on a Friday night / Saturday morning, with various characters from Star Wars queued for chips and kebabs, served by Jabba The Hutt, whilst Chewbacca is being sick outside, R2-D2 is on his back drunk and Han Solo and Boba Fett are arguing over a taxi in the shape of an X-Wing. In the night sky the Death Star looms ready to vapourise the entire planet. Thank you very much."

Requested by Andrew Sanders
I upset quite a lot of people recently by saying that this is one of my least favourite pieces I've done. The request is amazing but I just don't feel like I did it justice. The composition is flat and the colours are ugly... and not in the way a late night kebab shop should be ugly. I can't put my finger on it. Anyway, this is a terrible way to sell prints, isn't it?

No AI. Ever.
Everything on this shop was painted by me, a real human called Jim.
Since 2013 I've been taking requests from social media and rendering them in painstaking detail on an old version of Microsoft Paint. You can read more about me here...
