"Mr. Bump giving a statement to a police officer following a multi-car pile up on the M4"
Painted in October 2014

This piece always reminds me of one of my biggest regrets in life. Shortly after I posted it the Mr. Men people got in touch and said they loved it and would I like to do a small exhibition where I take the various Mr. Men and place them in gritty real life scenarios. I said yes, obviously.
The first piece I produced for it was of Little Miss Late crying over a pregnancy test in a squalid bathroom with unpaid bills on the floor. They didn't like it. And instead of saying "I'm sorry, Mr. Men people, let me go and do something a bit less depressing" I threw a tantrum and said I didn't want to do it if I wasn't allowed to go dark. I hate younger me so much. What an arrogant twat.
