Most 80s metal completely passed me by. I was the right age to get into nu-metal but then after that I was sucked into the hard-rave subculture and the softer sounds of classic metal just didn't appeal so much. One of the things I love about doing this job is temporarily becoming extremely focussed on things I might never have otherwise given much thought to. The whole week I spent painting this (the ones in shops always take ages) I listened to every single Judas Priest album - some of them a few times - and it was fucking wicked. I don't know why but it all sounds so shiny. Like chrome and leather in sonic form. I guess a lot of that is down to the production. Sounds years ahead of its time.

Anyway, you might be thinking why did I even pick this one if I wasn't already a Judas Priest fan but come on... it's just perfect word play and sometimes a good pun is enough for me to commit a week of my life to something.
